Abstract
⺠Introspective validity reduces the validity of self-report measures. ⺠We examine whether priming honesty influences self-report validity. ⺠Priming honesty increased self-report accuracy. ⺠Base-rate report of mind wandering was inflated in the control group. ⺠Self-report measures of mind wandering may be susceptible to demand characteristics.
