Abstract
⺠Escape responses to incidental mirror exposure were explored experimentally. ⺠Mirror exposure increased interest in experiencing a “pure consciousness event.” ⺠Exposure increased interest in flow among those who felt less “trapped” in the body. ⺠Such responses seem more complex than anticipated by Objective Self-Awareness theory.
