Abstract
⺠Face recognition tasks with masked primes show unconscious access to representations. ⺠Priming occurs when primes are presented in an unattended location. ⺠Priming occurs when primes and targets are different images. ⺠Priming occurs when primes are not presented consciously as targets. ⺠Unconscious access to view invariant representations does not rely on attention.
