Abstract
► We analyzed the impact of hypomania on self-defining memories and self-defining future projections in a general population. ► Results showed that the content of the narratives collected was related to proneness to hypomania. ► Hypomania-prone individuals integrated more negative memories in their self-structure. ► These results support the presence of conflicting and extreme dysfunctional beliefs in hypomania. ► This study provides new elements associated with the identity of hypomania-prone individuals.
