Abstract
⺠We re-evaluate the possibility of generalizing ownership to multiple rubber hands. ⺠We used the classical rubber hand set-up. ⺠Only the closest rubber hand appears objectively and subjectively embodied. ⺠Synchronous touch of a farther rubber hand disrupted the objective illusion. ⺠The distance of two rubber hands from subject's hand must be equal to elicit the illusion. ⺠Boundaries of our body are vague: there is a prototypical body and a borderline body.
