Abstract
⺠Artificial grammar learning was used to investigate Unconscious Thought Theory. ⺠Distraction, conscious thought or immediate progression introduced before test phase. ⺠No detectible effect was found on decisions made with meta-cognitive awareness. ⺠Distraction improved the quality of responses made without meta-cognitive awareness. ⺠Results of “unconscious thought” do not always transfer to conscious awareness.
