Abstract
⺠Hypnotic ingroup-outgroup suggestion modulates the acceptance of unfair offers in an economic bargaining scenario. ⺠Hypnotic ingroup suggestion increases tolerance of unfairness, whereas outgroup suggestion decreases acceptance of unfairness. ⺠Being in a hypnotic state alone has limited effect on fairness tolerance in economic bargaining. ⺠Response to social rule violations can be manipulated by hypnosis.
