Abstract
⺠Subliminal and supraliminal reward cues were presented before an updating task. ⺠Low Novelty Seeking (NS) participants performed better when rewards were presented unconsciously than consciously. ⺠High NS participants' performance did not differ whether reward cues were presented subliminally or supraliminally. ⺠The need to include personality in subliminal and consciousness research is discussed.
