Abstract
► It has been argued that P3 reflects post-perceptual processes and not consciousness. ► We examined if the P3 component reflects confidence rather than consciousness. ► Participants reported their perception on a scale that also indexes confidence. ► The P3 correlates with conscious perception even when confidence is controlled.
