Abstract
⺠We investigate the influence of expectation on response to suggestion. ⺠We modify expectations regarding response to future hypnotic suggestions. ⺠We index hypnotic suggestibility by de-automatizing an audiovisual process. ⺠Increased expectation hardly enhances response to suggestion.
