Abstract
► We provide the first demonstration of the implicit detection of tactile change. ► We demonstrate that tactile representations can be compared implicitly. ► This implicit change detection occurs in the absence of any measurable shift of spatial attention. ► These results therefore suggest that tactile change detection differs from visual change detection.
