Abstract
► We explored how postural fluctuations might moderate effects of plantar stimulation. ► We reanalyzed data demonstrating that white-noise stimulation stabilizes posture. ► Effect of white noise depends on temporal correlation of postural fluctuations. ► White-noise stimulation may diminish temporal correlation of postural fluctuation. ► Plantar stimulation may be more effective when calibrated to postural fluctuations.
