Abstract
⺠We examined relationships between speech and manual fluency in dual tasks. ⺠Participants drew circles on a tablet while reading or listening to speech. ⺠Reading disfluently and listening to disfluent speech increased manual disfluency. ⺠Reading fluently and listening to fluent speech did not disrupt manual fluency. ⺠Results support hand-speech and perception-production neural connectivity.
