Abstract
► Context-dependent memory was examined via manipulations of external and internal context change. ► Robust context-dependent memory effects were found for proportion correct, but not for other measures of recall including recall latency. ► When a single list is presented and recalled in a different context, reductions in recall are largely due to changes in the recoverability of items.
