An old and time-honored difficulty with denied conditionals admits of an equally old and if not universally accepted, then generally accepted, solution. As we shall discuss here, the same difficulty implicates denied biconditionals-but the usual solution is then utterly foreclosed. We discuss why and present an alternative.
