Abstract
⺠In this review we summarize the state-of-the-art concerning the primate specific gene locus G72 and its relevance for schizophrenia. ⺠We describe the generation and characterization of G72 transgenic mice. ⺠We suggest a molecular pathomechanisms for G72-induced behavioral deficits that are relevant to schizophrenia.
