Abstract
⺠We are intensely social and relationships are important for our mental health. ⺠Animal models help us to understand typical and atypical human social behavior. ⺠Oxytocin, vasopressin, and dopamine are important in regulating social behavior. ⺠We discuss merits and limits of comparative research in behavioral neuroscience.
