Abstract
► Fatiguing general and local exercises affect the effectiveness of sensory inputs and motor output of postural control. ► The mechanical impacts generated by general exercise on sensory receptors and muscle tissue disturb postural control. ► The effects of local fatigue differ according to the localization of the muscles solicited. ► Compensatory postural strategies are triggered to counteract the disturbance of postural control due to muscle fatigue.
