Abstract
ⶠThe olfactory tubercle is a unique olfactory cortical structure. ⶠThe tubercle sits at the interface between olfactory and reward circuits. ⶠPiriform cortex and olfactory tubercle may allow parallel processing of odors. ⶠTubercle cells process odors yet its role in olfactory perception is unknown. ⶠThe tubercle may be an especially important multimodal processing center.
