Abstract
⺠TS is multifactorial; multiple large-scale studies for TS are currently underway. ⺠SLITRK1, MAO-A, DRD2, DAT1 have been repeatedly implicated in TS. ⺠The histaminergic hypothesis in TS is supported by linkage and pathway analyses. ⺠The first GWAS for TS points to new candidate genes (e.g. COL27A1, POLR3B). ⺠Genes implicated both in TS and autism support a common etiological background.
