Abstract
⺠Perinatal adversities may be associated with Tourette syndrome (TS) in the offspring. ⺠Infections and stress may predict short-term severity in TS. ⺠Immune regulation may be intrinsically altered in TS. ⺠Psychosocial stress is the main contextual factor influencing tic severity.
