Abstract
⺠Animal models display a wide variety of symptoms associated with Tourette syndrome. ⺠Pharmacological models implicate multiple neuromodulators with symptom manifestation. ⺠Combining pharmacological and neurophysiological data sheds light on the mechanism of TS. ⺠Dysfunction of the cortico-basal ganglia system is implicated in the pathophysiology.
