Abstract
⺠We used rest-fMRI followed by n-back task-fMRI to study human brain connectivity. ⺠The working memory network (WMN) and the default mode network (DMN) were identified. ⺠DMN and WMN had the maximal intrinsic connectivity at the highest cognitive load. ⺠The negative correlation between networks predicted performance during the task. ⺠Connectivity of posterior attentional node of the DMN at rest predicted performance.
