Abstract
⺠Anosognosia for motor trouble was systematic in early HD patients. ⺠Anosognosia correlated with symptom severity, mental flexibility deficit and striatal atrophy. ⺠Awareness of involuntary movements was poor, even in controls. ⺠The normal neglect of involuntary movements might explain anosognosia for chorea. ⺠Cognitive impairments might prevent anosognosia to be corrected by inference.
