Abstract
⺠We review the development of the neural structures involved in the processing of time. ⺠We consider the striatum as a core timer functional at an early age. ⺠We explain the increase in the time sensitivity by the development of the prefontal cortex. ⺠We discuss the emergency of an explicit form of time judgment with the cognitive development.
