Abstract
⺠The cingulum bundle was subdivided using DTI tractography. ⺠Distinct subgenual, retrosplenial, and parahippocampal subregions were differentiated. ⺠These subregions differed in their fractional anisotropy and radial diffusivity. ⺠Only a small proportion of fibres traverse the length of the human cingulum bundle. ⺠For neuropsychological studies the cingulum should not be seen as a unified tract.
