Abstract
⺠We examined accelerated long-term forgetting (ALF) in a temporal lobe epileptic. ⺠A customised word-pair paradigm was developed. ⺠Onset of ALF was shown to occur between 30 and 55 min. ⺠Disruption of consolidation during sleep was not necessary for ALF to occur. ⺠Repeated recall during the first 4 h aided consolidation and counteracted ALF.
