Abstract
⺠Dyslexia was suggested to result from impaired statistical learning (anchoring). ⺠We compare dyslexics', ADHD subjects', and controls' anchoring abilities. ⺠We compare them on simple sounds, in verbal working memory, and in non-word reading. ⺠Dyslexics but not ADHD subjects are impaired in anchoring in all domains. ⺠An impaired anchoring mechanism can explain dyslexics' deficits across domains.
