Abstract
⺠The relevance of sensorimotor representations in verb understanding is evaluated. ⺠We refer to literature from cognitive neuropsychology and infants' verb learning. ⺠Brain damage to motor representations can leave unaffected verb processing. ⺠Infants' verb learning involves conceptual constrains beyond sensorimotor information. ⺠Sensorimotor information is not necessary for verb learning and understanding.
