Abstract
⺠ERPs allow to clarify effects of trait anxiety on performance monitoring brain processes. ⺠Trait anxiety alters the FRN component during evaluative feedback processing. ⺠This effect likely originates from an impaired generative action evaluation process in anxiety. ⺠Trait anxiety does not influence earlier emotional perceptual stages (N170). ⺠The FRN component is related to internalizing attribution style.
