Abstract
⺠We examine brain activation of classifiers during Chinese reading. ⺠The inferior frontal gyrus (IFG) is critical in processing Chinese classifiers. ⺠Various parts of IFG contribute to syntactic and semantic processing of classifiers. ⺠Processing mass and count classifiers involves distinct brain activations.
