Abstract
⺠This study examined how healthy aging affects social economic decision-making. ⺠Relative to young adults, older adults rejected more moderately unfair offers. ⺠Older adults recruited the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex to a larger extent. ⺠Such activation was related to their acceptance rates for the most unfair offers. ⺠Older adults also showed less activation of the anterior insula bilaterally.
