Abstract
⺠We examined paced reading in semantic dementia for the first time. ⺠Semantic degradation elicited phoneme migration errors in paced reading. ⺠Semantic dementia patients show weakened phoneme binding across language tasks. ⺠The findings support predictions of the “semantic binding” account.
