Abstract
⺠A visual half-field task was used to investigate whether it can replicate the finding of left hemispheric lateralization of tool recognition. ⺠In order to compare, we used two tasks: object recognition, and tool recognition. ⺠No visual field advantage was found for objects in comparison to non-objects in the object/non-object decision task. ⺠Right visual field/left hemisphere advantage was found for tools in comparison to non tools, in the tool/non tool decision task.
