Abstract
⺠Young adults retrieved autobiographical memories associated with musical cues. ⺠Music-cued memories spanned three levels of specificity, without explicit instruction. ⺠Music-cued memories were highly emotional and had low levels of prior rehearsal. ⺠Specific memories were associated with increased activity in dorsal frontal regions. ⺠All autobiographical memories engaged medial frontal and temporal regions.
