Abstract
⺠Successful implementation of immediate serial recall task in free ranging baboons. ⺠Immediate serial recall of up to 6 items assessed in baboons and humans. ⺠Larger memory capacity in humans but serial position effects in both species. ⺠Experimental manipulation of path length and organization of recall sequences. ⺠Humans but not baboons benefit from sequence organization.
