Abstract
⺠We examine the relationship between attention and perceptual learning. ⺠During learning, attention-related activity in human visual cortex declines. ⺠The decline mirrors a decline in stimulus-driven activity and may explain it. ⺠Changes in visual cortex may reflect reduced attention due to automation of a task.
