Abstract
⺠We tested body ownership in somatoparaphrenia in direct-view and mirror-view conditions. ⺠Mirror-view systematically reversed somatoparaphrenia. ⺠First experimental evidence that self-observation in a mirror alters limb disownership. ⺠This finding suggests dissociation between first- and third-person visual perspectives on the body. ⺠Deficits in social cognition may contribute to somatoparaphrenic delusions.
