Abstract
⺠We study the effects of ageing on the neural correlates of object haptic recognition. ⺠ERP old/new effects were marginally significant in young and older adults. ⺠Reliable old/new effects in the theta band temporarily overlapped the ERP effects. ⺠The older adults showed greater alpha and beta power reductions during exploration. ⺠Despite similar behavioral performance, the neural correlates differed with age.
