Abstract
⺠Adaptation to a novel object induces a bias in the perception of ambiguous images. ⺠High-level repulsive aftereffects depend on the presence of stored representations. ⺠Increasing familiarity with the novel objects restores the repulsive aftereffects. ⺠Priming, attractive effects are not influenced by pre-existing representations.
