Abstract
⸠Orbitofrontal cortex responds to different types of motivationally significant events. ⸠Common activation occurs independent of hedonic value or response requirements. ⸠Salient events that demand an immediate behavioural reversal activate posterior OFC. ⸠Events with a reward association also activate posterior OFC.
