Abstract
⸠Importance of anterior temporal cortex in speech comprehension implicated in semantic dementia. ⸠Direct cortical stimulation of anterior STS/STG impaired auditory sentence comprehension with preserved visual sentence comprehension. ⸠Sentences heard as a series of meaningless utterance. ⸠Sites of stimulation well corresponded with those of speech perception in fMRI activation studies.
