Abstract
⺠We study the role of the episodic buffer component of working memory in feature binding. ⺠We use concurrent tasks to disrupt the binding of color and shape. ⺠They impair overall performance but do not disrupt the capacity to bind. ⺠Bindings are however vulnerable to subsequent interference. ⺠Disruption can be reduced by an attentional filtering mechanism.
