Abstract
► Humans create internal visual memory snapshots of the environment. ► The snapshots can be scanned for relevant information. ► We show that the eyes curve away from locations selected from such snapshots. ► Selection from memory is very similar to selection from the outside world. ► Both types of selection are coded in the oculomotor system.
