Abstract
▶ Selective semantic STM deficits could indicate a semantic buffer system or might reflect a task-general semantic control deficit. ▶ We show that three semantic STM patients display semantic control impairments on STM and non-STM tasks. ▶ Suggests a general semantic control deficit underpins STM deficits in these cases.
