Abstract
ⶠMS patients showed increased attentional blink (AB) measures with rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP). ⶠThese results support the prediction of two-stage concurrent inhibition model that one of the potential mechanisms of increased AB could be unreliable inhibitory processes. ⶠUnreliable inhibitory processes, reflecting to some degree fluctuations in temporal integration, can be explained by overall slowing of conduction time, consequent to the thin or interrupted myelinization of cortical axons, main neuroanatomical impairment in MS.
