Abstract
► Subjects performed a behavioural task requiring hand actions on different 3D objects. ► We found that left-handers, in contrast to right-handers, used both hands equally. ► Subjects also performed a fMRI task requiring simple passive viewing of 3D objects. ► Superior parieto-occipital cortex (SPOC) activity varied with object position. ► SPOC showed heightened activity for objects within range of the preferred limb(s).
