Abstract
► Impaired attention may be a marker for core deficits in developmental dyslexia. ► We applied a mathematically specified, parametric theory of visual attention. ► Dyslexics showed reduced processing speed while working memory capacity was normal. ► Spatial deviation in dyslexics is in line with a previously suggested mini-neglect. ► The parametric assessment proved sensitive even in milder dyslexic impairments.
