Abstract
ⶠHigh Autism Quotient (AQ) scorers perform better on the Embedded Figures Test (EFT). ⶠA modified visual search task is employed to investigate underlying substrates. ⶠHigh AQ scorers detect a discrete visual target better in this repeatable task. ⶠSegmenting lines add a constant amount to reaction time for both AQ groups. ⶠImage segmentation by lines, (as in EFT), is rejected as an essential contributor.
