Abstract
â¶ Age, valence and level of processing do not affect emotion-related amygdala activity. â¶ Valence effects emerge in prefrontal regions during elaboration in older adults. â¶ Frontal valence effects correlate with individual differences in executive function. â¶ Age and valence influence medial prefrontal interactions with other brain regions.
